TESEM WON THE ECCS EUROPEAN STEEL DESIGN AWARD IN 2007

Our managing principles Mr.Rauf AKBABA and Mr. Faruk INSEL were honored by the European Convention for Constructional Steelwork (ECCS) for TESEM's basic design and detailing services in the Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport project. The design and construction of this project was performed exceptionally fast. The elapsed time between the first design meeting to the ribbon cutting ceremony was a record 13 months. The total weight of structural steel in the entire project was 4600 metric tons, which includes the main terminal building roof and several other support structures. TESEM performed the basic structural design in coordination with the architect and prepared the design calculations for approval. Following the basic design, TESEM provided the shop drawings for fabrication for each building. From the project manager to the smallest consultant, everyone in the project team showed great enthusiasm and dedication for a high quality and a fast delivery. TESEM contributed to this exceptional team work by providing time and cost efficient solutions promptly.
